What an amazing, full-bodied show. The music covered most generations of music. I particularly enjoyed and appreciated the ‘story’ behind each song. A high 5 to the catering team. Most delicious.

I really want to thank you for such a wonderful evening last night! The band was so animated and into the music. And those VOICES! Oh my word! Gosh so much nostalgia!

I am a very proud South African who found this musical and food journey through South Africa’s last 50 years, moving and inspiring. I am so in awe of the musicians - so talented. The show was worth a lot more than we paid for it as it brought so many memories and emotions out for me - and load of goose bumps!

Please please please do another one! The world needs to see this show!

I attended the launch of the Nelson Mandela exhibition in Cape Town City Hall. Halala Africa was the band providing the live music. What a pleasure to see them in action! Upbeat music with amazing musicians, music for all ages and preferences, and such an interesting story behind the band. Highly recommended!

Halala! We loved it! It was a beautiful show! It was a beautiful journey of music, of ancestors, of life. Lovely food.

What an INCREDIBLE show last night!!! WOW!!! Highly recommended this!! Showcasing the best of the best of South African music from the 60's onwards. Many artists who were never recognised and celebrated the way they should have been because of the apartheid regime. Each song came with an interesting backstory introduction. Amazing musicians, singers, authentic African cuisine, an absolute must for South Africans and non South Africans alike! If you missed this, you definitely missed out Waiting in anticipation for the next event. An evening very well spent!
